Loren Maron

Loren has been making ceramics for more than 25 years. She works exclusively in porcelain, creating functional/decorative pieces firing to cone 10 (over 2300° F) in a reduction kiln. Her current body of work focuses on textured hand built tray forms. Many pieces have gold and/or platinum decals applied and fired on as further embellishment.

Loren holds a BFA from Syracuse University where she first found her love of clay studying with David MacDonald. She spent 10 years at the Westchester Art Workshop in White Plains, NY before moving to the Clay Art Center in Port Chester, NY in 2002.

She has taken numerous workshops with many notable ceramists. Many of whom have influenced her work today.

Loren maintains a studio at her home in Ossining, NY and is an Associate Artist at the Clay Art Center in Port Chester, NY. She exhibits and sells her work widely at national juried craft fairs.
